Most of you will be aware of the fact that Dublin City Council turned on the christmas lights early this year. No ordinary tree, mind you – as you will see from the pictures. However I would like to point out that this idea for energy efficient lighting Christmas trees was premiered in Limerick City last year.
The pictures unfortunately were taken on my Nokia camera so they are a little bit crap, but you get the idea. To see them for yourself, take a stroll down O’Connell Street – You can’t miss it! it is like 60ft high! Unfortunately, the DCC traffic cams don’t pick up O’Connell street, which would be cool if they did!
