We’re Reeling in the Years

Sort of like Strictly Come Dancing, Everybody loves watching “Reeling in the Years” on RTE. It has become a stable item on the RTE evening schedule and a great filler detailing the social and political highs and lows of Ireland over the last 50 years.  For years it has been a question of when will it be released. Now it has become a reality. Reeling in the Years 1980s will be released in October 2008. To quote their press release on this:

Recalling the stories that made the headlines in the Ireland of the 80s, Reeling in the 80s combines the decade’s biggest musical hits with the most memorable moments from news, sport, popular culture and entertainment. The double-DVD will allow viewers of the hugely popular RTÉ series the chance to enjoy again and again key moments from the top-rating programme.

Just in time for the Christmas Market…..People take note and for goodness sake co-ordinate I don’t want five copies of Reeling! One will do just fine
